A huge thank you to the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois! We received notification today that the CFNIL Board of Trustees approved our grant request for the maximum amount of $2,500.00!
This money will be spent purchasing care packages for state line families who are battling childhood cancer.
Special shout-out to Youth Advisory Board Member Britton Morris for a great job writing the grant request. The whole Youth Advisory Board did an awesome job presenting the challenges that they are attempting to address to the CFNIL Board. We are looking forward to putting the grant to work!
You CAN save a life! Don’t forget, this Sunday we are having our “Be The Match Registry Drive”. Information is on our “Events” tab. Our goal is to add 540 names to the registry this summer! Won’t you help us?
Check out the video by 1st baseman Sean Hesano. It shows how simple the process is…
We spent an awesome day at the Illinois State Capital with Senator Dave Syverson! He gave us a tour of the capital, introduced us to several state leaders, and helped us bring awareness to the challenges facing our families who are battling childhood cancer by recognizing our work during session.
Thanks again for the opportunity Senator Syverson!
The K Cancer Baseball guys had a great time Saturday Night at Tyler Levine’s moonlight bowling fundraiser. Tyler’s Dad said they had over 130 people pre-registered for the event!
Did you miss out on moonlight bowling and still want to help out with the cost of treatment for Tyler? You can still put your hand in the middle and do your part by going to http://www.gofundme.com/tylerlevine to donate to the cause. Any amount you can give would be appreciated by the family! #toughfortyler
