Local company donating design/printing services!

Great news! A local company (prographics) has donated their design services and the printing involved in producing a large banner for us to use at local parades and events as we bring awareness to the fight against Childhood Cancer!

First "Youth Advisory Board Meeting" knocked down!

Exciting stuff last week. We had our first Board Meeting for K Cancer Baseball NFP. The Youth Advisory Board met to hammer out the rough draft of The Articles of Incorporation. 2 hours flew by! Great work by all of the young men. We had great participation and back and forth input from everyone. I am looking forward to seeing where these community minded young Entrepreneurs will take this!

Light The Night walk is coming up!

Just went to Tom Harmer athletic apparel store and put together our design for K-Cancer Baseball Club jerseys and hats! We will be using these shirts and hats for the upcoming “Light The Night Walk” on September 27th.
Also received the video script for our upcoming crowd funding campaign from a marketing company that is doing some work for us. It should be a great way to tell the story about what K-Cancer Baseball Club is all about.
Take a peek at a video of “Light The Night Walk” for a little taste of what it will be like.

You have to be moved by the story of Baylor Fredrickson. http://www.berkeleyside.com/2014/06/02/michael-lewis-save-a-7-year-olds-life-feel-like-a-million-dollars/  This is why we get involved in the fight against childhood cancer!
We ( K Cancer Baseball Club ) have a great opportunity to serve coming up in September. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is hosting their “Light The Night Walk” on September 27th @ 4:30 pm starting at Martin Park in Loves Park, IL. This event raises funds for lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams, and their efforts culminate into one memorable evening. We have been asked to man the kids area. we will be coordinating games and activities for children while the walk is taking place. More information will be coming soon.
Great “Rally Cap” pic and note of encouragement from the Bison Outlaws White team sent to Baylor via twitter.
