“I can only give $25.00. That’s all I can give, I wish I could give more.” This statement came from someone on a fixed income as they handed me an unsolicited check made out to K Cancer Baseball. I assured them that their gift was very generous and that it would be a big help in supporting a local family that was battling childhood cancer. I wasn’t just saying that to be kind, every bit helps! Thanks to our supporters who have given everything from $10.00 to multiples of that, we have been able to do a lot of good throughout the year.
When someone donates to K Cancer Baseball, they are not really giving money…

  • They are giving to put brakes on the car of a family who drives 600 miles a week to be with their child in an out of town hospital
  • They are giving to build a barrier free shower in the bathroom of a young cancer survivor
  • They are giving to provide meals for a family so that a Mother can be with one of her children during treatment and she can rest easy knowing everyone else is taken care of
  • They are giving to make sure funeral services for a young child are provided for
  • They are giving to purchase a celebration gift for a child who “rings the bell” on their last day of Chemotherapy!

On this #givingtuesday, I want to thank all of you who have helped us in our mission to support local families who are battling childhood cancer. You have made an impact!

If you haven’t taken part before, I want to encourage you to do two things:
